Hot start Taq is a thermostable DNA polymerase that possesses a5´→3´ polymerase activity and a 5´ flap endonuclease activity. Hot Start Taq DNAPolymerase is chemically modifiedthat leads to complete inactivationof the polymerase until the initialheat activation step at the startof PCR. Hot start PCR reducesnon-specific amplification during setupstages of the reaction and helpsincrease PCR specificity andsensitivity. This product is supplied with a 10x PCR reaction bufferthat provides a final concentration of 1.5mM Mg2+ and an optional 5X GC Enhancer that increases the amplification of GC rich templates up to84%.
